Cloisonne Pins

 Imitation & Traditional Cloisonné Pins

Cloisonné, or hard enamel pins, are the highest-quality dye-struck pins
available. The traditional cloisonné is a hard-fired enamel pin using powdered
glass with a limited number of colors. Imitation cloisonné is very similar to

traditional, but is now one of the preferred methods with a smoother surface finish for a more affordable price. These lapel pins can be made to match the full array of Pantone™ colors; the end result is a truly beautiful product.

Dye-Struck Soft Enamel

 Dye-Struck Soft Enamel
This pin is an excellent choice for 3-D cubic designs or designs requiring fine
details. The colors are produced using Pantone colors. If you are looking for a
quality pin that's less expensive than a cloisonné, the soft enamel is ideal. All

of the dye-struck, soft enamel pins are polished before coloring; any metal showing has a shiny surface. A thin epoxy covering is optional and recommended to protect the colors.

Stamped Iron

 Stamped Iron
Stamped iron is a dye-struck process using iron as the base metal. The style
can be electroplated with a full range of metal choices, including gold, brass,
nickel, and black nickel. A stamped iron pin is an excellent choice and less

expensive than the other processes.

Photo Etched Pins

 Photo-Etched Pins
Photo-etched pins are made by using a chemical acid to put the recessed areas
into the design. These areas are then filled with a full range of Pantone colors.
The thickness of the pin is normally .08 mm., but can be made thicker if

requested for a nominal additional charge.

Silkscreen & Off-Set Printed Pins

 Silk-Screen & Offset Printed Pins
Both silk-screen and offset printing are your best solutions for complicated
artwork and gradual colors. You can choose from brass with gold or nickel
plating, brass without any electroplating, stainless steel, and aluminum without
electroplating. In order to avoid scratches, we suggest a clear epoxy coating to

protect the pin. Camera-ready art is required for these processes.
